The Nakuru Wazee Premier League resumes after a three-week mid season break

Nakuru Wazee Premier League is a competition pitting Wazee teams within and outside Nakuru City, currently featuring 14 teams. Wazee Premier LeagueThe league is on its maiden season and is aggressively gaining popularity with each matchday. With the aim of fitness and networking, the league is open to anyone aged 35 and above whereas women have no age cap. Persons with disabilities with passion for exercising are also represented amongst us.

In a bid to reach the community and realize its social networking goal, Nakuru Wazee Premier League took its second leg season openers to Gicheha Farm for an interactive Sunday rendezvous featuring host team Gichea Experience playing against Kisulisuli based Mwenge Vetos and league leaders Club X squaring it off against ASK Showground based Senators FC. NWPL fans were treated to a beautiful mixture of a flurry of goals in the first match which ended 4-3 in favor of Mwenge Vetos and a tactical masterstroke display in the second game which ended 1-0 in favor of league leaders Club X.

With the success of the program so far, more and more of such interactive sessions will be lined up with the hope of making people from all walks of life in the county appreciate sports particularly football.
